The capital of Great Britain, which is “a whole world in one” was our destination : Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Oxford Street, the British Museum, Trafalgar Square, The Big Ben, Notting Hill, The Tower of London, Hyde Park... We visited London from east to west and from north to south, and at the end we were able to manage ourselves in English around the city center.
But what really impressed us was the variety and diversity of people in London. It´s a kind of whole world reduced to a city, where all the races, nationalities, styles... can be found: from the richest businessmen to the poorest old man, bohemian buskers, punks, people from Asia or Africa... We named it “the city of freedom” because it doesn´t really matter what you do: never mind what you wear or say ´cause you are in London, where ANYTHING you can imagine can be found, worn or even done. That´s why every morning we used to ask: “What should I wear today?”. And immediately everyone used to say: “Don´t worry! We are in London, the city of freedom, so the only thing you have to bear in mind is that at the end of the day it may rain”. However, we had such good weather that we couldn´t complain about it.
To sum up, travelling to London we have had a wonderful time and lots of fun. One of the most beautiful things was to realize how big and different our world is and how brilliant it is to accept that diversity which turns an ordinary world into a place of richness and graciousness.
